Jakandor in Review

The Knorr, featured in the book Jakandor, Island of War , were portrayed as a society of noble tribal warriors that abhorred arcane magic searching for redemption in the eyes of the goddess by destroying the other culture on the island continent with no mercy. They war with everything, each other, monsters and beasts, animals, each other, and of course the Charonti, the people they share the island-continent with. The Charonti, covered in Jakandor, Isle of Destiny, on the other hand was portrayed as a culture built around magics, surviving and beginning to rebuild their empire with necromancy. Having been abandoned by their gods during a past empire ending cataclysm that the magocracy is still recovering from, five thousand years later. The third book, Jakandor, Land of Legend, contained a host of adventure ideas, random encounter tables, rules for fantastical undead and shamanistic war machines, some ideas for campaigns, and ideas for some of the concept breaking ideas that were touched on in the other two books. It rates right behind the Savage Coast in my book. Moving on from the basic introduction of the Jakandor-line, I want to start dissecting and comparing the two culture books side-by-side.
