Home About Us Contact Us. Orarrp utility - Reports We have configured the web server and Orarrp utility as is suggested in the documentation of Orarrp. When we try to run a the test report given in the document, in some machines in place of the print dialogue box for the target PDF file, we are gettin the following message.
But is running fine in some other machines. We are using IE 5. Orarrp - New INI file setting applied. Can anyone tell us the possible reason for this error? Thanks in advance. One of the reasons for us to create orarrp 1. I haven't checked if it is already available on OTN, but if not it will be soon. The as it occured to us and some customers was in most cases related to Winword and the use of rtf files. In orarrp 1. Please try the following on one of the machine where orarrp doesn't work properly 1 remove orarrp by typing orarrp - x 2 searc the registry if you find "orarrp" - if yes then delete all occurences 3 re-install orarrp 4 check the file 6iconf.
If the generic setting is still in there then remove it as it causes problems. If then problem still exists then run orarrp in debug mode open orarrp. My mail address is frank. I can't provide you support for orarrp but I can at least have a loot at teh debug file. We have downloaded Orarrp 1. We will keep in mind the INI settings suggested by you for future problems. Sorry I am talking about how to set it in Oracle Xe database not in the browser itself. It is set in the browser as the so-called language preference and XE is just relying on browser's language preference sent by the browser.
Hello Rpang You are right language setting is at browser level thank for that precision. Any idea about the issue? If that is the case, please restart XE. For a clean restart, it is better that you first shut down both the database and the TNS listener, and then start the TNS listener and then the database in that order. Hello Rpang There is a positive evolution after applying your advices.
I shutdown Xe database then the listner and rested them in reverse order listner then the database. Instead of the old message "unable to find server or DNS error in IE" the is an attempt to load the file but i got following inline message : "the file contains invalid file extension.
No binary file types are supported" my file is an excel file named pc6. It only supports speadsheets in comma-separated text format i. Please save your. How to do this? Transfor a. Please advice Sidaty Just open the.
Orarrp 1. We have been successful in using this utility to implement printing at the client side. We are using web.
But after the output is generated, the file still exists in the directory of the server. Is there any to remove or cleanup this direcotory after the output is no longer in use. Is there any parameter to be set to do this? What virtual path do I have to set there? Also, please note that this will only work if the Reports Server machine has permissions to print on the remote printer.
I am not able to launch Reports on the web. I have myself problem when referencing. REP files, using the reports server -. RDF files work OK. The message is "Can not read from Report Builder message file" or similar. Any ideas, folks? I am getting the following message when I try to bring up a. If I try to bring up a. If I enter an http address to a. INI file,,, Sorry,, a coworker pass me this old version so I don4t know where to get it,, neither my coworker When I try to print a report with a PDF format this old version works fine, but when I print a report with a Caracter MODE it display a Print dialog box to prompt me to choose a Printer,, it suppose with the new version 1.
It only shows up on IE not on Netscape. Because of this, all files get this extension which leads Orarrp to think that it is an ini file it's probably the default type.
