This book was very compelling that I couldn't stop until I reached the end. When I finally read the last page, I instantly went to Amazon to buy the book.
I instantly read the book, so I could read the parts that weren't included online. I was so intrigued by this story, and the deleted parts on Wattpad made me want to buy this book that much more. I was glad that the author kept the whole book on Wattpad and didn't just give I started reading this story on Wattpad and was instantly captivated.
I was glad that the author kept the whole book on Wattpad and didn't just give a sample of the book like other authors because I like to know if I really like the author's writing and you can only get the jist of that from reading a sample.
In the actual book, I liked there was more description about the scene, but not so much that I would get bored. Sep 28, Jultri rated it it was ok Shelves: unfinishable. Dreadful book with silly characters and a heroine who was so dense and immature.
Her first intimate scene with Jeremy was cringeworthy. There is a distinct difference between innocent and just plain moronic and going from literally thinking this guy is "well-hung" very virginal observation BTW to believing his crap that it is a "one eyed snake" just made me gag on my own vomitus.
While I was struggling prior to this scene already , finding it hard to get past the shallowness of the characters Dreadful book with silly characters and a heroine who was so dense and immature. While I was struggling prior to this scene already , finding it hard to get past the shallowness of the characters Jeremy wanted to paper bag less than attractive females and the historically inconsistent language used, I could not get beyond this so called sexy seduction scene.
It was too ludicrous by far and an insult to my neurones to continue wasting more time on it. Oct 06, KaYeah rated it it was ok Shelves: regrettable-reads , series , one-time-read-only.
So, I guess I'm sticking with fantasy First off, I'm giving this book 1. This started really well for me the plot and setting were great and all that. What ticked me off was that the characters especially Cassie did not developed the way I wanted them to. At the first part of the book where she was a silly little child throwing tantrums and wanting to marry erhm, Richard?
I forgot was a So, I guess I'm sticking with fantasy I forgot was acceptable. Few years later, she developed into a silly immature young lady and you know? Facepalm please. I read through the book and it was getting predictable. Cliche, for that matter. The writing was good. The plot was just shallow and lacking some key figures that would have kept me intrigued. I don't like the cover, not enough humor, too much sappy romance aaannd I have nothing against romance.
After this one I actually read some and found it quite nice. I guess this one was just not a nice way to start my journey with romance books. Thankfully, I was able to read a great book of the same genre. This however makes it to my regrettable-reads bookshelf. Jan 11, Moyomoyo rated it it was amazing. I first read this on Wattpad. When I first started reading this, I thought it was going to be cliched and knew what was going to happen in the end.
What kept me glued were the characters and the description of the land. I just wanted to be there, live there, jump into the book and waltz with all the men, and giggle with all the ladies. Then the kicker, I was in the wrong. The ending was unexpected and it was more than perfect with how everything fit.
From time to time I like to read favorite par I first read this on Wattpad. From time to time I like to read favorite parts or chapters. I have a hard time letting go of this time and charming place. Dec 09, Mariana rated it it was amazing. Definitely one of the best books I have already read! The story was just so beautifully written that you could feel all the emotions the author wanted to transmit. Definitely worth buying!! Jan 29, Bareen rated it it was ok. There was so much happening at the same time it was enough to give me a head ache.
The only reason the book earned a two star from me was because it started pretty well. About 20 percent into the book I could see promise of a four star at least but then it all was enough for me to feel like throwing my e reader against the wall. And considering historic romance us my face genre j assure you j tried to get past the negatives of this book, but sadly just couldn't.
The writing lost the charm if historic fiction and somehow bordered on a bad YA and historic fiction mix. Dec 10, Karen rated it really liked it. She was 18 when she entered her season in London and came straight from the country with older boys for companions so she wasn't the most mature plus her dad encouraged her free spirit.
How funny. She knew what he was doing and turned tables by acting confused. Good reading! Feb 11, Eva Lau rated it it was amazing Shelves: favorites , read-on-wattpad.
